- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix warm milk, yeast, and honey. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
- In a large bowl, combine flour and salt.
- Add ricotta cheese, melted butter, egg, and vanilla (if using) to the flour mixture.
- Pour in the yeast mixture and knead until a soft dough forms (about 8 minutes).
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1-2 hours until doubled.
- Punch down the dough, shape it into a loaf or rolls, and place on a baking sheet.
- Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool before slicing and serving.
