Description
Cracker Barrel Pancakes are fluffy, buttery, and delicious, just like the ones served at the famous restaurant. Perfect for breakfast!
Ingredients
- All-purpose flour
- Baking powder
- Baking soda
- Sugar
- Salt
- Buttermilk
- Eggs
- Melted butter
- Vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
2. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, then add milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Don’t overmix; the batter should be lumpy.
4. Heat a griddle or non-stick pan over medium heat and add a little butter.
5. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the griddle for each pancake.
6. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
7. Serve with butter and maple syrup.
Notes
- For fluffier pancakes, let the batter rest for 5 minutes before cooking.
- You can add chocolate chips, blueberries, or bananas to the batter for extra flavor.
- If the pancakes are too thick, add a little more milk to thin out the batter.
